How We Work

Y-PLAN Global Program Partnership Options

Over the years, we have worked with cities, communities, schools, universities and individuals in many different and impactful ways. Currently, we offer the following partnership options:

1. Summer Y-PLAN Global Institute at UC Berkeley

  • Held at the world renown UC Berkeley campus, Y-PLAN Global offers 2 – 4 week summer youth leadership and civic engagements institutes. 
  • One week Institutes are also offered during school winter and spring vacations.

2. Out-Bound Y-PLAN Global Youth Leadership Institute

  • Cities and institutions of higher education sponsor UC Berkeley faculty and civic program leaders to develop tailored, in-country leadership and teacher training institutes based on language capacity and local needs/interests.

3. Teacher Training Institutes

  • UC Berkeley faculty offer 1-3 week teacher training and capacity building institutes in the U.S.A or abroad.

4. Community & Civic Project and Adult Ally Development

  • Cultivating authentic, meaningful community development projects and preparing adults to work collaboratively with youth can be challenging.
  • Y-PLAN Global offers decades of experience in building adult ally capacity as well as cultivating meaningful projects for students to work on.

5. Seminars and Keynote Speeches

  • Program and Y-PLAN Global faculty are available for conference workshops, seminars and keynote presentations.
